nni 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2008 front squats are good for not only your legs but your core and shoulders as well, but really require good technique... one leg RDLs with dumbells and step ups with dumbells also work well in strengthening your glutesgood advice. Keith 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2008 The barbell squat is the bread and butter lift for anyone who trains seriously with weights. My advice to you would be to mix in front squats and hack squats as variations. I'm not big on volume lifting, but I think legs need a bit more volume than most bodyparts. Leg press is NOT a substitute for squatting btw. All that machine should be used for is the icing on the cake after you finish squatting if you want to really fry your quads.
