Vapor Lace Bite

Recommended Posts

I am looking into getting a pair of NBH vapor shifts (vapor XXV) or the step down model, Velocty (XXII) And am wondering if anyone was had problems with them in terms of lace bite? I have had Lace bite issues with an old pair (Vapor VII)

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know if i can help but i own a pair of shifts right now the 2007 model which is essentially the vapor XIX with a better liner and i sometimes get a pinch by my arch and i think this is due to the lace bite.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the help so far guys!

With that old pair of vapors i had a couple years ago (VII) i think part of the lace bite problem was because they were not that stiff at all. Am i correct in thinking stiffer skates=less lace bite?

a stiffer skate will equal more lacebite if the boot is too shallow for you or if the boot is too stiff for you

because the boot will not flex when you bend your knees

I'm skating on a pair of Vapor XXII right now and I am experiencing lace bite. A fresh pair of laces helps a bit but I blame the tongue.
