First ever fiberglass/composite stick? Koho, Montreal ?

Recommended Posts

There is some debate amongst board members as to what was the first OPS. I have heard Busch, and have heard Koho. However, maybe it's more a point of contention as Busch is/was a true one-piece. If the Koho had an ABS blade then it would have had to have been fused together in some fashion as the shaft would have been a different material than the blade.

BUSCH is probably the first (only???) one piece, as Easton and CCM and probably the rest also make the shaft first. Blackshot had the shaft and blade made/molded in the same operation. KOHO had the blade glued to the hollow shaft, and Titan Turbo even had a wood core, both in the shaft and blade.......

So maybe Norway was the first even we can't play hockey....but by the way, Northland was also a ski factory started by a Norwegian immigrant
