skates for a light man

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, Just looking for a little input on some new skates for myself. I looked at the review section but am still looking for a bit more info.

I am currently using some Mission L7, but they are not really my cup of tea. I got them in a size 8EE because at the time that is all they really had left. I should be wearing a narrow width and prehaps a 7.5. But anyway, I am considering some new skates.

I am only 140lbs about, so I am looking for a skate that is great for a light man. Id prefer something with good ankle support and a narrow skate. I have flat feet and narrow. If price was not an issue, what would you recommend. Any suggestions for what you guys think.

Thanks in advance. :D

go and support your Lhs (local hockey store) and, trust them! Don't go to companies that dont know what their employees are doing. You can try mission again ag or xp is what you would like. But, the main point is go get fitted! good luck.

thanks gentleman.

Sometimes I used to be a little weary of going into one in the case of trying on like 5-6 skates and then not buying anything and wasting a person who works on commissions time :D So I will maybe narrow it down to a few pairs.

I am thinking of either some one 90's/70's when they drop a bit more.

If you feel bad by wasting his time if he works on comission, just give him a few bucks and thank him. I'll jsut echo what everyone else said and say that going to the LHS and getting fitted is the best. If you don't want some Missions, you can always go with the Grafs, and if you find them used you can get a good deal on them.

Good luck!
