Gambler's Cup, Atlantic City NJ

Recommended Posts

My team is playing in the Gambler's Cup in Atlantic City, NJ April 25, 26, 27. Anyone else going with their Adult team? This will be my first adult tourney out of college. Should be a bunch of fun, partying in AC and playing some puck

im not, but plan on going next year. my team is kind of crappy, so i dont want to enter tournaments unless i know we can fit somewhere competition wise.

They have A, B, C, D and women's.

I am not sure if you can still enter but if you go here: http://www.gsvhockey.com/event.php?showid=17

being as you are going, let me know what the C and D divisions are like. my team has competant skills but hasnt jelled yet, but being as this is a tourney i would think D as i am assuming competition is very good.

Yeah, we tried to get into B but they wouldn't let us so we'll play in C. It should be good, we have a very solid team. As far as the Borgata goes, I'm only 22 and I usually go to the Hilton because they have lower minimum bets and offer great comp drinks. The Showboat is also a personal favorite. We're staying at the Trump Marina so that'll be cool too.

After we play this tournament I will review it here and let you all know how it goes.

I'd also be interested to know if the other teams are mostly from the Northeast or if it's a wide variety of backgrounds, including Canadians. When I played beer league tourneys in Montreal, it was maybe 75% canucks and the rest from New England or NY. I love playing Canadians, they play the game right and drink just as hard.
