You can try a search at the top of the page(it works well, and someone will probubly yell at you cause you ask the question instead of do a search) But since your new Ill fill you in a little...The wicked line top to bottom people have been saying they were to stiff and hurt, also took awhile to break in..As for the Assasins and the syndicate line only heard good things about the skates...

Three of my team mates are or were skating on the Wicked 1s,3s and 5s. The guy skating on the Wicked 1s ended up sending them back to Mission because of brutal pain in his ankles and couldn't skate on them anymore. Mission replaced those with the new Syndicate Boss(08). A much better skate in terms of being more confortable. My other two buddies simply said that their 3s and 5s are painful to break in and that it takes anywhere from 1-3 months to break in. Justin from Mission confirmed this when I talked to him at my LHS when he was showing off the new syndicate line.

I'm currently skating on the Syndicate Assassains. Not a bad skate for the price. I was able to get a good discount on this skates and that's one reason why I got them. The boot is pretty stiff yet confortable. It felt a little lighter and more confortable than the Lieutenants and bit heavier than the Boss. You can also skate on the Assassins straight out of the box. Another team mate of mine just bought the Assassins and skated on them on a tournament we played this past weekend. He said he loves them. I suggest you go and tried both the Wicked's and the Assassins and see which one feels better for you. The Wicked's are a good skate and very light but it'll take time to break them in. If you decide to go with the Wicked's, you might not be able to skate on them right away. just be patient ti'll you break them in.

I would highly recommend the wicked 3's, however be ready for a few months of pain.... After the break-in, though, they're sweet as hell!!!!

hey stealth....i'm not sure if you're dead set on buying Mission skates, but what jjj mentions here as far as months of pain are concerned, should not happen with any boot IMO....

IMO, the best boots on the market are Bauer boots...be it for ice or roller....i know they aren't a high end skate like the Missions you mention, but i have a pair of NBH 40-70's that i use outdoors (i don't play indoor anymore), and it took maybe 2 or 3 times (hour and a half minimum) of skating on those boots before they were ENTIRELY broken in, without pain...i would assume that their high end stuff (Vapor XXr) are better than the cheaper skates i'm rocking...

mind you, i have a bit of a Bauer/NBH bias, but it's only because i have NEVER been disappointed by one of their products....ESPECIALLY skates...

I'll add to the Mission recommendation, for the new Syndicate line. I had Wicked 3's, wasn't playing enough to justify the break in process, ended up with some Wicked 5's for indoors and 7's for outdoor rink. I'm now in Bosses and Assassins, and the out of the box comfort is better with the new stuff. If you like a taller stiff skate the 5's are a good pickup, the 1's and 3's will be tough to break in unless you have the ideal foot for it. I have yet to be disappointed in going to the newer models.

hey people! thanks for your replys!! iv done some searches on the forum, and the general consensus is the wicked range are stiff as fook!! think i may end up with the 5s.

sdcopp, if you had a choice..wicked 5s or assasins? both are going for the same price at my lhs. what are the assasins like? (ps i play indoor)

Assassins are lower cut, not as stiff as the 5's. I'm not a huge fan of the Saturn wheels that the Assassins come with. I really love the new cut and fit of the Syndicate line with the lower boot and all

I'm trying to get Mission to exchange me a pair of Bosses for my Wicked 1s. :(

BRAND new, baked and worn around the house but the pain is terrible after a few minutes.

Agree on the Assassin boot and wheel comment. I'm skating on the Assassins at the moment unitl I do my Mission Fuel AGX and Mag. Vanguard chassis conversion. The assassin's are a good skate but they didn't give me the confort that I like in a boot. And the wheels are horrible. Played three games on those wheels but had to replace them because I couldn't deal with the sliding all over the place. They don't grip at all. Replaced them with Labeda grippers and RR hot shots. Big difference in terms of speed and grip.

How do you like the Vanguard chassis?
