Bauer 6500

Does anyone know the difference between the Bauer 6500 SMU skate and the regular 6000? Is it that one's lighter or something?

the 6500 is actuallly older than the 6000. There isn't a lot of difference in them at all. The 6000 comes with a lightspeed holder while the 6500 doesn't. The 6000 is actually lighter and may be a better buy. Since bauer discontued the 7000, and the 8000 came out, there came the 6000.

The 6500 was the model down from the 7000 at that time.
