Can Easton S15 be punched?

Recommended Posts

Hi have a pair of S15 in size 8.0W. Unfortunately the pinky toe area is being squashed slightly. I have heard that composite skates cannot be punched. Is this true? Can anything be done besides thinner socks?

I currently wear standard crew socks. The skates have been baked. My toe touches the tip of the boot slightly while sitting down.

I don't believe you can stretch composite boots. You'll damage them. They either collapse or crack.

How old are they? Have you only skated in them a few times?? Once the heel breaks in, your toes will probably come off the cap a bit. Have you tried them on barefoot?

I have the same issue in my Missions, even EE is too tight in my toes. My solution is not to lace the first eyelit at all. That actually helps me a ton.

^^ I usually do the same thing when I'm breaking in new skates as my feet are very wide at the toes. After awhile they expand enough to begin lacing them again.

Chilimax, wrap a couple rounds of stick tape around your toe. At least it'll help with any pain from the tight fit.

I am barefoot in my S15 and they are VERY tight. They arent too small, they are just very... close fitting :D

Unfortunately, my big toes (both feet!) hurt so i cut down my toe nails and im actually perfect.

One of the downfalls to buying a composite one piece boot. You need to buy it to fit right from the start.

I wore them about six times already. I even tried dress socks, but they feel too slippery. I did try them on barefoot, but won't wear them like that as they'll transfer some unwanted "stuff". I forgot to mention I've got grey Superfeet in them. The heel does still feel a little cushiony so maybe there is still room left in the back of the boot.

I don't understand the wrapping the stick around the toe part. Do you mean do this after unlacing the first set of holes? I am contemplating unlacing the first set of holes. But I don't tighten the front tight at all.

I just cut my toe nails so we'll see how that goes tonite.

What I meant was to take some stick tape and wrap it around your pinkie toe if it's hurting. It helps with the rubbing & pain.
