Anyone know the difference in volume ?

lacebite in xxx's but I'm getting g3's from a guy on craigslist, I tried them on at the LHS but I didn't do the pencil test.

If you have lacebite in XXX, you will probably have lacebite in a lower cut graf...from my experience.

The 9 series is the only one that I believe is a deeper boot than Bauers...I may be mistaken, but I think thats the one. I had minor lacebite problems in my Supremes...very minor, didn't even bother me and wasn't always there, when I got into my G5s it was like a torture box on my foot.

I thought I found all my problems to be gone. The vapor xxx's are unbearable to skate in but I need the narrow heel of the 3 series.

You might want to double check with GrafPro on here about the depths/cuts of the boots, but I think I'm accurate. You might want to give them a try anyways, ya never know!

the 3 series is a wonderful fitting skate...

The XXX is one of the best skates ever made, allot of pros refuse to migrate to the xxxx...

I own the G3 and tried on the Vapor. The transition profile of the eyelets from horizontal to vertical as you turn up at the ankle is very different for these two skates (much sharper angle on the Vapor).

I would try them out. I could see how one could get lacebite from Vapors but not G3s.

Inferno, I totally agree bro. I had been in a few straight pairs of 30's (I break down skates reaal fast) and when the rep came around to fit our team for this season he really pushed to get me in 40's, which in hindsight I totally regret. A lot of hoopla over the 40 and I agree it's a good skate, but there's something about the 30 that the 40 just doesn't match up to, nevermind improve upon.

I went from 705s to XXXXs and I would say that the Graf was quite a bit deeper than the Vapor.

i had the vapor xxxx's and just got the g3's best change in gear ive ever done. Had a bit of lace bite with the xxxx but like you needed the narrow heel of the g3. I think it'll be way better!!

Here's my two cents... I went from CCM to Graf G3's and also had lace bite from my CCM's. I don't have it at all with my Grafs. Don't forget you'll be pitched forward more with the Grafs. G3's are by far the most comfy skates I've ever had on my feet. Good luck with them, I hope you like them.
