Cutting Easton Stealth CNT

Recommended Posts

Before I get heckled about using the search, I've done that looking for info on the Stealth CNT and didn't find anything. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has converted this OPS to a shaft/blade combo. The reason I ask is because the CNT, compared to the the Synergy, seems to taper further down the shaft. So I am wondering if someone has been done before, if they are using tapered blades or standard. Also, the fuse point, seems really defined on this OPS as I can see a spot through the lamination where I believe the fuse point, which is also, coincidentally (?) right there the shaft starts to taper. This leads me to believe it would take a standard blade... Anyway, if anyone has done this, let me know your thoughts on it. Thanks in advance.

if your going to use a standard blade, why not just flip it and save the trouble.

Well I wasn't planning on using one, that's why I'm asking. I was thinking of cutting from the bottom and using a tapered, but I'm not sure that will work with this one from the way it looks, which is why I asked if anyone has done this with this particular OPS. Also, I dont want to just flip it over because these were designed with a specific kick point that I would like to retain as much as possible; though this is a discussion I dont really wish to have in this thread...

Well I would assume its a tapered shaft fit on an Easton Stealth, but you can use this formula if you have an accurate measuring device at home, like a cheap caliper from Lowes ( $1.99 ) - To determine Inner Length and Inner Width it should be around 14mm X 26mm for tapered - use the wall thickness near the butt end and assume constant. Here is a diagram.

Report results back to MSH thread to help others. Thanks.
