Mission S300 vs. Bauer XIV

Hey, I've been skating in some vapor XIVs for a while, and I wanted to swap the C+ holders for Pitch. I bought a pair of Mission S300s for 60 bucks, not even broken in, and I'm trying to decide which skate to keep (want to sell the other one, poor college student). Both skates feel good on my foot, but I love the pitch holder. Basically, I'm trying to decide whether to swap holders and sell the missions, or keep the missions and sell the bauers. Does anyone know what boot will last longer? It feels like the bauer boot is a little stiffer, and I've heard the s300 is softer, and doesn't protect as much. Any advice? Thanks!

i've had a pair of S300s for 4 years and it still works fine for outdoor hockey. true it's not as stiff and dont try blocking shots with it, but the boot doesnt break down nearly as much as a normal construction skate.
