That guy looks like he was genetically engineered for a hockey fight.

He seemed more pharmaceutically engineered.

Fighters with honor and integrity are the greatest assets to the game.

To phrase it that way implies the game needs fighting, so what I don't understand is why no other sport needs fighting. Do fights erupt in other sports? Sure. Do they need the fights and enforcers? No.

I wouldn't be that surprised if Mirasty made an appearance or two with the Blue Jackets. Foote and Shelley are gone. Boll loves to fight but he's not very good at it. He would have been nice to have at the end of the season.

Being taller would help, but he does have a solid neck. Unless you have inside info., I see no basis for the allegation of pharmaceutical enhancement.

Skilled players who are clutch performers and who have leadership skills, e.g., Stevie Y., Messier, etc. are the greatest assets to the game.

Will fighting ever be banned in the NHL or other various minor leagues? Probably not.

When I first saw the pictures, I saw plenty of basis for suspicion of pharmaceutical enhancement (although I am aware that not all enhancements are illegal), yet I would have kept those opinions to myself until the previous poster made a comment that he appeared to be genetically engineered. At that point, I opined (not alleged) that pharmaceuticals seemed to help the engineering.

I agree, but considering it's the only sport with players whose role is strictly to fight, I'd like to see the enforcers weened out.

he has a bigger build than most hockey players, but nothing that cant be gained naturally. i am not saying he didnt take a short cut, but i also wouldnt be surprised if a guy who likes to get punched in the face on ice spends a lot of time in the gym.
