I'm surprised that Bure was even seriously considered.

Better than a point per game in the regular season and in the playoffs. One of the most explosive offensive players of his era. Better point per game average than either Hull, Neely or Gilmour. Hell in 2000-2001 he scored more than a quarter of his team's goals. Bure deserves to be in the HHOF a lot more than a huge number of guys who are already there.

There are a few more players in line ahead of him who deserve admission. Maybe in a couple of years, yes, but not yet.
