Well, I owned the Tackla 4000. To be honest with you I didn't like 2 things about it, not enough protection and the tendancy to slide down during play. The CCM Pro Girdle looks to have more hip padding and a better wraparound design.

I just wanted somebody's experience with these 2 areas before dropping a buck on them.

I have been using the CCM Pro Girdle for about 2 years now:

It's pretty protective but like all girdles, it lacks sufficient hip and back protection. Pros that use these usually use shells that have added padding to protect the hips and the back. I haven't had any experiences of the pads shifting during play. It's almost identical to the One90 girdle (one90 girdle looks like it may have more hip padding).
