Foot/Shoe Size Dilemma

Recommended Posts

ok guys, as some of you know i broke my left leg/ankle about 2 yrs ago. this has put me in a tough spot as far as getting sized for proper fitting skates. well now for the first time i am noticing that it is a problem as far as shoes go. heres my situation, then question: right now i have a pair of top siders originals, size 12. they fit my right foot perfectly, but my bad left foot they are about a 1/2 to 3/4 size too small. also i have a pair of nice brooks running shoes in size 13. now they fit my bad left foot fine, but kind of sloppy on my good right foot, so i packed the toe with some foam and it helps a lot. what im getting at here, what do you guys recommend or have personal experience in? should i size down to my good foot and have them stretched to fit on the larger bad foot? or should i size up to the bad foot and use the foam in toe trick to fit my right? im looking for a practical fix without going custom on shoes and boots, thanks

You might want to see if you can find a cobbler near you who can stretch a shoe that fits your smaller foot.

Thanks Chadd, I was thinking thats my best bet since there are two reputable cobblers near by. Anyone else have any experience or suggestions? Anyone ever gone as far as ordering custom shoes? Drew?
