graf foot pain

Recommended Posts

Have graf 703's. Heel lock is good and overall fit is good, but I've been getting a tremendous amount of pain on the underside of my feet. This is on my heels and also on the balls of my feet.

What do you guys recommend? Superfeet?

The pain in your heels may be from Plantar Fasceitis. If you have pain in your heels after skating when just walking, this may be the cause. I had this, and what happens is three tendons that form a triangle in your arch become very tight, and these are connected to tendons that run down the back of your league. The easiest solution to this is stretching the muscles, mainly hamstrings and calves. In the mean time, a supportive insole would e the way to go. Shock doctors are targeted at feet with a lower arch, while the Superfeet fit a higher arch better. See if you can try either of those in your lhs, as they may solve the problem.

Thank you guys for your replies.

I will be trying the superfeet (they seem to be the yellow ones?). Both my parents have Plantar Fasceitis so that perhaps could be the case.

Start doing some stretches now, such as "PUshing the wall", and touching your toes to help loosen up the string of tendons along the back of your leg. The yoga stretch "Downward Dog" is also helpful. I know a lot of people think no way, yoga, but it works. and its never bad to improve your flexibility. Web MD may also have some good advice. And when you get whatever footbed you choose, it may cause your foot to be a little sore. Don't worry about the soreness though, it comes from the adjustment and will go away after a couple skates if you have the right insole. If the pain persists, then it may be time for a different footbed.

Thank you again for the reply.

My skates are narrows, does anyone know if the yellow superfeet will still work out?
