Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2008 Polar. Nothing else comes close. They offer plenty of different models with various features ranging from max holds, target alarms for both minn and max, they even offer some that are an integrated cyclometer for a bike. Depending on what your objectives are and how you understand to use/train with one will help to determine what type of bells and whistles to get.

What are good brands besides Polar? Not so fast my friend!! I bought the Polar F6 and then returned it when I found as feature rich a HRM for a lot less - and it even has more features than Polar. It is also compatible with Polar type treadmills - ie. the treadmill monitor will pick up your heart rate from this one too - you don't have to have a Polar.Sports HRM Pro
