Maybe a few good junior kids from prep schools and from the Junior B program we have. Also the Canes players sometimes come to open hockey. But the competition isn't terrible and there are PLENTY of northerners here (Me being one of them).Look at going to the Factory Ice House, The Cary Ice House, or the Rec Zone. UMWhockey 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2008 Not so much for Pick up during the day now that the Canes are going again. There is a good AA pick-up that is invite only at the Cary Ice House on Thursday nights. The talent level is good, but most of all it is a group of guys who aren't dicks on the ice eaither. Really if you are looking for high level hockey the Cary/Garner A league that plays on Tuesday Nights is the best thing out there. There are former ECHL and AHL players along with some good junior and college players. Real good skate.
