RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 I'm going to be in the Anapolis Valley, Nova Scotia (Kentville, Wolfville, New Minas...) for the next week...any local shops or hockey related things I should be looking at? Won't be able to play while I'm out there. We'll probably get into Halifax at some point (beyond just for the airport). I've been to the Citadelle and Public Gardens...so the touristy stuff is covered.
Miike 1 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 In the Valley itself there are no real hockey shops. Nothing out of the ordinary. There is a Source for Sports in New Minas i believe, but thats about it. Halifax also has basically the same, Source for Sports, nothing to special for hockey related items out here really. There is a store in Lower Sackville, which is one the way to Halifax from the Airport called Sportwheels, they tend to have some pro stock stuff once in awhile, a good selection of used skates (never know what you find, sort of hit or miss) and sometimes have pro stock blades (Sherwood SOP) and some OPS's if your lucky. I havent been out there recently so i'm not 100% sure. Acadia University unfortunatly isn't playing this week/weekend at home, which is too bad because Universtiy hockey out here is awesome hockey to go and watch. Although i do believe the Halifax Mooseheads are playing this weekend (Friday vs PEI) which is some decent entertainment if you are in the area at the time. If you want any info about any touristry things to do, shoot me a PM and i'll be more then glad to help out with anything your interested in.
