Sizing question for holders

Okay, I have a pair of Bauer Vapor 6 Skates with Light speeds on them. I want to take the Light speeds off the Bauers, which are size 7 D and put them on a pair of G3s which will be size 7 R. Will this work?

Also, do holders fit a few different boot sizes? I notice that a lot of people on here have 288 holders, is that just a coinscidence? Thanks.

Look at the number on the holders on both skates, if they match you can swap them out. If not, you're out of luck.

288s seem common because it is matches a very common shoe size.
