Different Types of palms?

Recommended Posts

Welcome to MSH.

Quick word of advice.....if you are looking for answers you will get a lot further and much less sarcasm and flack if you are more specific with your questions. Example: What are the pros and cons of MSH2 vs Goat, etc etc.

Blanket questions such as your initial post will either be closed or mocked with something similar to "what is the best stick".

Keep your questions specific and you'll be fine around here. ;)

Frankly, there are too many. Every company will make several, change them from year to year, offer different overlays and otherwise tweak and rename palms that it's hard to find out what's all out there. Not just palm overlays either, gloves get fingertip grips to where a glove can have 3 different materials. Companies could also use the same material but finish it differently, giving a different effect altogether.

Your best bet is to bring your stick to your local store and try on gloves until you find a match for fit and palm grip.

Palms also react differently to different shafts. Soft grips will make some palms stick like glue, others have no effect. Some palms grip tactile better. Some palms will change as they wear in.

If you're curious on a specific palm or two ask, but such a broad question would take forever to answer.
