Kor toe sock question

Recommended Posts

I bought a pair of Shift 1's in a 8.5when HG had them at $159 last spring, but haven't used them yet.

I did bake them but found my left foot (even after baking correctly) is a little too butted up against the toe cap/sock when fully laced and in the bent knee hockey position. My left foot is slightly longer than my right, the right skate fits spot on. My question is how much space could I get if I cut the toe sock out on the left foot? ( rendering the warranty useless lol) There is a seam on the toe sock that feels thick enough to make a difference in the fit for me. Has anyone cut the toe sock out of a Shift 1? Thanks for any feedback.

I wouldn't worry too much about their warranty.

I'm not as Kor is out of business,( you missed the humor) but if the skates just won't work I'd like to keep them intact so I can sell them.

can you cut just the front off of the toe sock without cutting the top so it still has the same feel as the right skate?(i had shift 1s for a season, never got them to feel right for me...)

You should get about an 1/8" worth of space if you take the toe glove out

Thanks for that info. I think I"ll try them without cutting anything. Between skating on them and maybe another bake? I should get the room I need. Just hope my toe doesn't get to beat up until then.
