Hey all,

Was just wondering if there is a significant difference between the XXV and XXII? Does anyone know what they are and do they justify a price difference of $70?

I am not playing competitive hockey. I play shinny once a week and next winter hope to keep doing that and playing in a league. It won't be a high level league.

Any help would be appreciated.

The XXV's are stiffer and a bit lighter and $90-100 more. You need to go to your LHS and see them and decide what your needs are.

Kind of a follow-up question: what size would be recommended coming from an Easton S11 size 7.5 to the Vapor XXV?

XXV is made of texallium composite and the XXII is made of some lesser-quality stuff. I would go with XXV for durability and weight among other things. XXII is available at SportChek, XXV is only at higher end shops in my city so there you go!
