Go to a good shop and they can punch out the padding right where it is rubbing.

I have had some luck with using a giant "C" clamp, and clamping the pooh out of the high point in the padding and leaving it there overnight. Next day, you have a big divot in the padding there.

Duct tape?

You need to find a local pro shop and see if the skates you currently wear are actually a good fit for your foot. A shop can modify (stretch, punch) your skates to a certain degree but if the fit is that way off, you'll be much better suited with a new pair that fits right.

the fit in the foot is perfect. and my outside ankle is fine. it's my inner ankle. plus i undo the top eyelet to get maximum forward flex.... wich makes it worse. cause my ankle isn't exactly centered in the padded area as is.

Not sure what kind of skate your in, but I have Kors and had the same problem in the beginning. I just spot heated mine. You can use a hair dryer just to get it heated up inside and out (mostly inside) or if you're careful just heat it up with a heat gun.

After that I put a little piece of padding one the spot on my foot that hurts and it helped to stretch them.

One other thing that really helped was that for about a month straight I took a tennis ball wrapped in a bandage and stuck it in the skate and left it in there anytime I wasn't using them. I would even do this after you heat the trouble spot up. Just put something in there that takes up a little more space than your ankle and you should be good.

It worked for me 2 years ago and the skates are still great, so hopefully it works for you.
