yup, another vote for Westside Skate. They're right across the street from my work so the shop was a god send. Great guys in there and they are extremely helpful. Not going to be the cheapest place to get gear, but I'm happy paying a couple bucks more to support the store.

Also there's Sports Plus on Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood, Qns. coincidentally 5 blocks from my apt. Not as specialized but still good to get some stuff when you need it.
