One75 stick vs. One95 stick

Recommended Posts

I get my One95 on Wednesday or Thursday. After a few turns on the ice I will let anyone who cares know my opinion in a direct comaprison test between the 75 and 95.

For what it's worth, the re-akt plastic stuff on my One75 got all torn up Friday night. It was taped too! Underneath the paint and rubber, wich is all peeling now, it almost looks like aluminum. I'm sure it's not but I'll be interested to see how this effects performance.

Ok... got my One95 on Wednesday and played with it last night. Here are some comparisons:

Weight

The One95 is considerably lighter than the One75. I won't say too light as that is personal preference but it will take some getting used to after playing two weeks with the One75. Had I gone right from the S17 to the One95 I wouldn't have noticed a thing.

Shaft Feel

The shaft of the One75 had a bigger feel. Since they are the same dimensions I don't know why but it feels "boxier" than the One95. The One95 I got was the StickUm shaft. That being said there was very little StickUm feel. The One75 is a MUCH tackier feel and I liked it better. I have put some tape on the One95 shaft and hopefully I'll like it.

Flex

Even though both my sticks are 77 flex the One95 plays stiffer. I think this is because it's lighter. I happen to like it because I felt the One75 was a bit to whippy. The One95 is just about perfect for this.

Blade

As you know the One75 has the ReAkt and the One95 does not. I was worried that the blade of the One95 wouldn't be as soft or that the puck would riccochet off the blade like my S17. I was very pleased to note that the blade of the One95 had alot of feel. Maybe not quite as soft as the One75 but feel was excellent, maybe due to the lighter weight.

Shooting

The One95 was vastly superior in this arena and this is what we are paying for. Much more life in the wrister and a the slapper was more accurate as well as powerful.

Hope this is helps!!!
