do LS2 & LS2-Power have same rivet hole pattern?

Recommended Posts

i've read all the threads about these two holders, but haven't been able to find out if the rivet holes will all match up. i have 8.5d one90's with 272mm LS2-Power holders that i want to switch to standard LS2 to match my other skates. will a 272mm LS2 line up with no drilling? i know i need the LS2 runners (already have some of those)... just wanna know if the holders will line up. thanks.

major pain in the ass? i imagine that if the holes are close, but not exact, there will be problems with widening of existing holes? how about the new LS2.1 do those have the pattern from LS2 or LS2-P? or some third pattern? why cant they just make them all cross-compatible!?

LS2.1 is not a different holder, only different steel that fits into the standard LS2 holder.

LS2Power has LS2.1Power steel in a tweaked holder made of polycarb. They stopped making it for reasons besides the durability issues, I suspect.

2.1 just means "slightly longer steel".

My One95's have the Ls2Powers installed. Lckptiger did them over at the pepsi center in amherst, NY. Quality job. They perform great and he actually aligned the holders to the boot. Yes there is some widening but if this is done correctly there isn't a problem.

They are perfect.

I've also got the Step Steel in them with a compound profile.

After making a few of these switches in my shop, I have to say that it depends on the size of the holders you're using. 272mm LS2's didn't line up well at all with the LS2Ps, but from what I recall, the switch wasn't nearly as hard to make for 280mm and 288mm. Seriously strange, but that seemed to be the case.
