repaired shin gaurds

i recently found a pair of shins that were cracked and i grabbed them as a chance to experiment with to see if i could make them useable. i used a 5 gallon bucket to make a new overlay, and screwed it into place. i have yet to use them but will try them on friday morning.

the first step was to cut the bucket up.

next i traced the edge of the shinpad and cut to fit.

i then glued a second smaller piece to the big piece to cove the hole.

using "c" clamps i drilled holes and screwed the overlay into place.

the homer paint bucket was put to good use.

also in the photos is some goalie gear i got out of a dumpster and sewed back together.

on the blocker i covered up the company logo.
