fldksja 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2008 I'm pretty new in Indy, and haven't heard of anyone playing pond hockey here, but it looks like the ponds might be freezing soon.I'm originally from Fort Wayne, about 1.5 hours north of Indy, and we used to play pond hockey there a lot, so I'm sure it's possible to play here, I just never see anyone playing.Anyway, if you're from Indy, and you've seen (or know of) anyone playing here (preferably on the north side, or even the northern suburbs: Fishers, Carmel, Westfield, Zionsville, Noblesville, etc.), please let me know.Thanks. SidCaeser 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 All of the ponds around here usually have no skating signs. The other problem we've had in winter pasts is it is not frozen long enough. However, it has been freakin cold earlier and longer this year. If I hear anything I will post it. I live up on the north side.
wildebeest 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2008 I've played quite a bit in Carmel and never heard of anybody playing pond. I grew up in eastern IL and it always seems like you have to get pretty far north of I70 before you start getting into outdoor hockey weather.

Otherwise I'll have to wait until the next time I visit my parents to satisfy my pond hockey fix.
