Holders out of alignment -issue or no?

Recommended Posts

I was comparing the holders on my Graf 735's that I recently bought, and the left one appears to have the holder noticeably off centre compared to the one on the right.

The blades don't appear to be bent or angled.. is this anything to be concerned about, or not a big deal?

thanks

my understanding is that if the center line of the holder is off from the center line of the skate by more then 3mm then it might be a problem, otherwise you should be fine

I have about 2mm misalignment on one boot only (never had it before on my other skates until I got One95) & it doesn't make any difference.

On a skate that costly a bad mount is totally unacceptable.

my thoughts exactly - but unfortunately it seems to be a common problem for One95s - there's been quite a few similar reports already...

ive seen some horrendous ones for the one95, especially the toes of left boots i believe have been really bad

not to say it doesnt happen to other companies, but the amount that i have to look at at work it has not gone unnoticed

Thanks guys,

I measured the difference, and the left boot appears to be between 2-3 mm off centre.

I figure I'll skate on them for a few weeks, (just had them profiled), and if I can't get used to them, I'll simply swap out the holders with good old tuuks, and have the shop drill new (hopefully aligned!) holes.

I think the lesson learned for me here is to inspect the blades more carefully before I buy, and probably stick with Nike/Bauer, since the radius and profile is what I'm used to.
