Last years high end stick is always the best option, find a synergy se for the price of a pricepoint its quite a bit lighter and has more features. Honestly though, i've never used a pricepoint stick on the ice.

I think the g500's are the best value out there. I'm told that some are repainted Vapor XXX's. Others possibly repainted MacDaddies. I had a couple last year and absolutely loved them. They're going for 33 bucks at hockeyworld.com. I just ordered 3 more. They compare well against the expensive sticks I've used, for sure. Not sure if they are repainted overruns, blems or what.... Anyway, they cost you less than most composite blades. I have two other friends who use them (one a very solid player, one a beginner) and they both love theirs.

I don't think people have had as good luck with the g300's (but I can't say for sure). I'd recommend the g500, for sure if you can find a curve/flex you like.
