which is the best, most durable, high end stick?

Recommended Posts

Im getting a new OPS and for the first time, i am getting a high end stick.

My question is, which is the best to shoot with, most durable stick on the market out of...

-Bauer One95

-Bauer XXXX

-Bauer One90

-RBK 9K

-RBK 7K Sickick

-CCM U+

-Easton SE16

thanks.

Everything about this question is subjective IMO (hahaha).

I'd steer clear of the RBKs because many people expressed my personal grievance with them, that being their horrible blades. I had the same problem with my Easton Synergy II blade, so maybe steer clear from the SE16. It's still a relatively new to market stick so it might be wise to wait for some reactions from long term users before investing. Out of the remaining three NBH sticks, I don't think you could go wrong with either the one90 or one95, as we have all heard the complaints of the XXXX expressed on here many times. Goodluck!

I asked this question before as well. I have a bud who's had a XXXX for the longest time and loves it, but I have another friend who hates it. I'm on my second One95 after the first one broke in 3 weeks, however I love the stick. RBK 9k has holes in it, it's blade heavy, and there's a new version coming out, so I wouldn't bother getting that. Other then that I dont know, good luck with your search.

Stay away from RBK. I have two one90's that I've used since aboout beginning of septmeber, and the first one just cracked last week, after lot's of use. Very durable and very nice overall stick. And also on closeout because of arrival of one95, so a bit cheaper as well.

The Easton S17 has probably the shittiest blade in terms of durability.

I an in the process of sawing mine off (it's the 3rd one that the blade has gone to shit and I'm done) in the near future and trying to shave a wood blade to fit in the elliptical shaft, expect a thread in the near future.

Best of luck with that. I admire your effort, but I promise you that's it's gonna be a bad news situation once you hit the ice with it. Don't expect that to last for very long.

To make my S17 last, I reinforced the blade and 1/3 of the elliptical taper with SRS material (carbon sleeve, epoxy), waited for it to dry, sanded it smooth and took it to the ice. It didn't turn out to be a bad judgement call. It changed the weight and balance, but it was a decent trade-off to have a not-so-shitty blade anymore.

I have both the ONE 90 and ONE 95, just got the ONE 95, only two games in , so far so good. The ONE 90 is a tank! I have been using it since they first came out. No problems. My only problem is the flex got way to whipy the longer I used it. Not a bad stick either way

I know it's not going to last long, but it's worth a shot. Plus, for the 1-2 games that I hope it will last, I will be the only one out there with a S17 shaft :P

Mission Fuel Ti. Great shooting. Great durability.

+60 day warranty, but it's still like $300 (in Canada).

That stinks. They are about $150 here and worth every cent. This is the model I mean,

They've gone down actually, when I bought one it was like 289, now they are 249. Including tax though it's about $300.

I had a Stealth CNT for the past year and it was starting to get a little soft so when i saw the Fuel Ti for 50% off - $75 - on hockeyoverstock last month i had to try one. The Fuel Ti seems to shoot better (for me) than the CNT, however after about 4 games the blade started cracking in the heel area. I just sent it back for a warrantee replacement, so lets hope it'll last longer...

I was at a tournament and at a hockey shop and i was looking at the fuel ti's. i liked the non grip but the stock felt noticeably larger in width that my warrior.

Mine broke at the blade midway. Shaft is solid as a rock.
