Getting a new stick

Recommended Posts

Hey, guys this is my first post so its going to be a little about me/ question. Im 16, 5' 8", 160 lbs, and a defensemen of about 12 years, playing high school hockey playing both varsity and JV. So this is my question. What would be the best stick to get for me. I play first and third line defence and both power play and pk, and i have great one timers. I just broke my Synergy Sl so im wondering to stay with easton or finnaly switch sticks. and suggestions. Thanks in advance

I'd try the One95.

EDIT: There is really no definite answer. It's all personal preference, and what feels right for you. Did you like your SL or do you want to move on?

i liked it, it was much different then my pro vector grip. i always used easton tho, and im kind of scared of going to a different company because my eastons were reliable.

I can only speak in regards to the easton thing, as I used easton all my life too and have tried other sticks a few times and although some havent been bad by any means I find I always go back to them. I would try and check some out and hold them at least and see what available, if you want something similar to the sl, the elite and the se16 should be close

I have heard the SE 16 stick is very similar to the SL. I couldn't really find any senior SL's in a senior size online though. Try whatever stick feels right to you but don't be afraid to try other sticks on the market.

Understandable, if you feel comfortable with your Eastons, use your Eastons. There's really no need to switch if something's working for you. I would look up some threads on sticks you are interested in, as there are many, and check the review section for some opinions.
