xstartxtodayx 343 Report post Posted January 14, 2009 One more thing to consider is that the higher end shin guards have more padding that wraps around the outside and back of the calf to offer more protection, this is great for protection but when it comes to skinny calfs and legs it adds a lot of bulk. This is an issue I've dealt with for a while trying to accomodate my girly legs (yea it sucks), I've found that as much as I like the high end shin guards they just never fit properly, I'd usually end up going with a mid-range model which had less wrap around protection (and usually without the unnecessary straps).As I stated earlier I just picked up a pair of Rbk/Jofa 4k fitlite's and couldn't be happier, they fit my stick-legs comfortably without any added bulk, they came w/ 2 straps, one I threw out immediately and the other around the calf I think I'll be cutting off in the near future since I don't see the point to it.
