I used to wear red tinted contacts when playing baseball because it is too hard to get sunglasses underneath of a catcher's mask comfortably. Granted, I took some heat from people who thought it was stupid, but as long as I could see clearly I really didn't care what they said. I'm all about being comfortable with your gear set up no matter what sport it is, baseball, hockey, soccer, doesn't really matter. If a mirrored or tinted visor is what you feel comfortable playing in then so be it, just don't get offended when someone thinks you look like a moron and decides to let you know it.
