Stick Choice

Recommended Posts

Just got back into the game after a while out and have been looking at a few new sticks, nothing too high end as i only play twice a week.

I looked at the warrior dolomite which in the UK is about £130. I've read a few reviews on here and the users of them seem pretty pleased with them. However i started looking at sticks a little cheaper and found the Easton Synergy SC6. I've checked the review boards and found nothing on it.

Has anyone had any experiences of one or know someone that has?

cheers

I'm not a fan of the Sc6 I use one as my backup and I use it when a player on the other team is hacking at sticks. It is in no way a bad stick, it's just not a great stick. If the stick costs something like 60 or 70 pounds and you only play 2 times a week I would get it.

The feel just isn't the same as my SE was or my XXX lite, the stick is a little on the heacy side for a composite but nothing to noticable. Oh and it is pretty durable I don't use it for extended amounts of times but it has survived some pretty hard slashes.

Also, it is quite of a blade-heavy stick.

I'm kinda used to that at the minute, i used a old synergy pro stock i snapped with a blade in it haha. Sounds like the SC6 will do me for what i need.

im in the UK and have an SC6, bought it from www.puckstop.com and it is a good stick.

First off, the stick is about average in terms of weight, not amazingly light, but not uncomfortably heavy. Secondly, this stick is a tank, i got the grip version for something like £85 last april and there are only a few scratches and chips as you would expect from regular play (2-6 times a week).

I bought a new stick a few months ago, a bauer one90, and it is quite a bit lighter and better balanced. I would have gone for another SC6, but i got this for just over £80 off of ebay.

Overall, it is quite a good stick and is extremely durable, perfect as my back up stick, it is good for shooting and passing, not overly heavy and i think it looks pretty good. Personally i would take it over the dolo, i tried one and hated the feel.

I would also have a look at this website, http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Shadow-Waddow-...s__W0QQ_armrsZ1, It is an ebay shop that sells sticks with cheap shipping to the UK. They have a wide selection too! i have ordered 3 from them in the past, never had a problem and they arrived within a week.

And if you want to ask me anything else, feel free to do so.

The Dolomite is the best stick I have ever used, best feel and shot. I can definatly notice the difference between it and any Easton I've ever used

Nope, they mark the package as a gift to avoid import duties and taxes and it also says on the website "IF BUYER PAYS EXCESS SHIPPING, EXCESS AMOUNT WILL BE RETURNED VIA PAYPAL" so no worries there.

Me and Luke Finch are mates. I got one when he did, well, he ordered me one and i payed for it.

It was a decent stick. I got an int. Sakic because we had to order the same, no complains, cos i cut it down about 6 inches so it was the right size, stiffness and lie. Still had plenty of whip left in it.

I used it for about 2-3 months rotating it with my AK27s. It snapped blocking a snap shot. It wasn't anything special, average feel, average shooting.

Not a bad buy. I'd go for it.
