RBK 7K Pumps vs CCM Vector 06

Recommended Posts

Roller Hockey: I'm 6"1 and about 250 lbs. I play Right Wing or Right Defense, with a size 13 foot.

I am deciding between the Reebok 7K Pumps (DUSK), or the CCM Vector 06. I am not sure, it seems like the Pumps are for more of a finesse player and the CCM are for bigger protection. My main problem is the width of my feet which is quite bigger than usual sizing (D). About 3 years ago I got some Mission Wicked 7, and they did not bake in and cause excruciating pain on the sides of my feet. So which one should I get?

well im 5'10" and had the same decision to make, i also play right defense.

I tried on both skates and they both felt about the same in terms of weight, protection etc. but the 7K's were just too wide for my feet so i got the vector 6's. They're a great skate for the money, i like them a lot and have had no problems with them.

If thye are like traditional ice skates. The 7k will be based on the old CCM Tack line with a pump. The vectors are the newere boot, but much more narrow. I cant wear vectors in standard width and I am only 5'7' shit kills my foot way to narrow. In vectors I wear a wide. Reeboks a regular D. Have u tried both on?

Not trying to hi-jack the thread or anything, but are all vector models (specifically the last models, named 10.0 insted of V10 of the current top end) narrow? I'm thinking now I was under the false impression that RBK and CCM were similar in width...

I too have a super wide foot and was having the same dillema as you last month trying to decide between the 7k's and the Vector's. After trying both of them on, i went with the 7k's...I wear RBK's for ice hockey too so for me it was a little bit easier of a decision. D width in the 7k's is plenty wide for my foot and the D width in the vector was pretty tight. Hope that helps, good luck man.

I also have tried on both. I'm a big guy too 6'1" about 290..and i play Defense. I eventually got the reebok 7 k in an "E" width and it's the most comfortable skate i've ever used on roller. My Graf ice skates are like butter...love those, but I can wear the RBK 7k for hours and not have any foot soreness.
