USA hockey's new American Development model

We are seeing the popularity of roller down here in Raleigh... Last numbers I saw for the area was that the are is 3 to 2 kids in inline to kids in ice. there is some overlap, but the fact that you can put a kid in house and travel roller for about the half the cost of house ice hockey is having something to do with everything.

I just wish all this money that USA Hockey was getting was going to grassroots efforts, not towards their top end hockey production. Really if they wanted better hockey players, work on getting better athletes involved in hockey. Some people have genetics on their side and most of them end up in Football or Basketball.

Apparently people play roller in Toronto - fuck if I know about it. I'd vastly prefer to play on a giant block of mechanically-preserved ice when the summer hits 40-celsius.

what AAA teams that exist now will be included? I know it says top 36. I am one of the best on my team but we are not very good. Would I have to go to another team that is "super elite" to play at this level.

Wait i dont know if i qualify as a late bloomer im only 13 and im just starting to get to be one of "the better kids of the league" and im only trying out for travel for the first time this spring because when approached by a travel team early on my parents attitude was u want me fit a ridiculous schedule and $4000 for a 7 year old to play hockey........ no and i understand. But could someone clarify for me more what this means for me as far as one of the "late bloomers". So from what I'm understanding is if ur not good enough for the "super league" when it starts then they're just kinda saying screw you this is who is good and then there is you.
