To all my friends on the Island, the proshop @ NY Islanders Iceworks just put out a big selection of brand new player gloves for sale. Mostly last year's models that were not used but some from this year as well.

Exactly. Just blue & white. I saw Missions, TPS, Easton, Warrior to name a few, from Hunter, MAB, Satan & Witt. I beleive they were going to be priced around $129., but don't quote me on that.

I'd imagine they'd be priced a lot higher, that little pro shop is extremely over priced. I miss the old pro shop when it was on the far side of the rink w/ the outside entrance. I miss Syosset Sports as well, are they even around anymore? They used to have lots of pro return items back in the day.

Is the pro shop going to have sticks at all do you know?

The shop is run by new people. They are VERY nice. I don't know if they'll get any sticks as they didn't seen to know that the team was going to "dump" the gloves on them to sell.

Iceworks used to be owned by Skate for Gold, now the Islanders own it but I think the old owner is still employed.

I remember Warren, I had a lot of good times in that place when I was a kid shopping for equipment. That's where I got all of my stuff when I first started playing about 18 years ago, they were always good to their customers and had a great selection... I live out east near Plaza Sports now and go there all the time, good place with some real good ppl but doesn't have the same selection that Syosset Sports had.

I have a mens league game this Sat. at Iceworks so I'll have to check out the pro shop and see what they have. Thanks for the heads up.
