Holder sizing help, potential problem.

Recommended Posts

I need so help asap guys so please help me out. I am currently using a pair of s15 skates in a size 8.5 width. I hated the runner and steel that came with it which was the razor blade holder and parabolic steel so I changed it out for my old LSII setup. So I did some referencing on hockeygiant and it showed that 280 LSII can fit on an 8.5 width boot. However when i got my skates back and checked my easton runners it's a size 272 holder. So my question is, will the 280 LSII setup on my S15 8.5 width skates be a problem. Please help me out.

There's no problem at all here. Fitting the largest size holder onto boots is more common than you think :) 280 holders begin on a size 9 boot so the half size discrepancy is negligible in your case; you're good to go!

In the process of getting some CCM U+ CL skates and deciding on the holder size. Based on what I've read here a 280 LS2 should not be a problem on an 8.75 D skate; but does the fact that the heel is AA make a difference? If it does I'll go with the 272; but thought I would double check.

Thanks in advance

The 272 LS2 will fit better with the holes that are already present on your 8.5 s15. What you could do is put the LS2 272 holder on the skate and use LS 2.1 blades to make it feel longer

Oops,

I think I restarted this thread incorrectly. My intention was to start a new thread, but when I searched I found this one and felt I could have my question addressed.

Sorry for the confusion.
