Difference between Reebok and Bauer pitch and rocker

Recommended Posts

I have worn out another pair of bauer skates in a year. I would like to try Reebocks would like a little more forward pitch. I am looking for a little feedback before I buy them. what is the sizing difference also.

They dont last. $$$$

what model skate are you wearing out? and how many times per week are you on the ice?

these could play big factors into why you are breaking them down so fast

You are probably buying a model that is too low for the amount of skating that you do and the level at which you skate. Bayers are rocks.

I really don't think that durability of 9K is going to be better then One95!

One95 is pretty well built - other then XXXXs that are tanks I'm yet to see a modern skate that would be more durable...

I only had mine for 3 months only, I'm on the ice 4-5 times a week & other then minor cosmetic blemishes they're holding up great

back to your question - pitch & profile can easily be adjusted, so it shouldn't be an issue

I just switched from 7000 Supremes (which I have been told are deadon the same as far as pitch and whatnot to the new Supreme models at retail (One95 and One75) to my new 9k pumps and the 9k's feel just a hair more forward than my old skates.

The 9k's have proved to be an excellent choice for me. They are nice and stiff, I like that I can choose (with the pump) how tight my heel and ankle are locked into the boot over just lacing tightness. I can't speak to durability though, as I have only worn my new skates twice for a game and some pick up (4 hours total)

looking at the two makes though... the Bauers look like they would old up more to me, just looking at the way they are made.

The two flaws I see with the 9k's vs. the Supreme lines are

1) The pump and potential for the bladders to burst

2) The stiching vs the Supreme boot construction.

my $0.02 for what it's worth.
