MoCorleone 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 does the red cap on the swiss bearing face towards the outside of the wheel or does it face the spacer. reason being a guy i know who plays semi pro roller hockey was looking at my new skates and asked me what kind of bearings i had and i said swiss. he said he didn't realize it because i had the red covers facing inward. i'm pretty sure, i have them the way they should go. either way i don't think it affects performence but i always thought the red goes inward to keep the rubber dust out of the bearings.
