OPS Warrior/Easton

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if i would notice a significant difference in shot power accuracy. If i went from a Lie 5.5 - 4

I know there other variables to improve. What impact would it make if i went to a lower lie.

Would it be safe to say that Warrior and Easton have the same ratings for Lie? Or do they have their own ways of measuring?

I personally have :

Lie 4 Vanek patterned Johnson OPS

Lie 5 Kovalev patterned Mac Daddy Grip OPS

Alfredsson Pro stock custom Dolomite OPS

I can say that my vanek Johnson, people noticed that I definitely looked weird playing with it, because my toe end of the blade would drag and my heel was noticeably up off the ice. Lie 4 is generally meant for players who are into crouching a bit further to make quick dash plays and those that stay low in general. Being 5' 7" myself, I thought this lie would fit me perfectly but I guess I cut it a bit too short? (although I cut it right up to my upper lips/lower nose level). I had real hard time making the blade level on the ice and shots weren't coming off right.

As for my Mac daddy lie 5, it was pretty much perfect. So I guess it's all about your playing style and preference too, because I could not get used to playing with a lie 4 stick.
