Help Needed sourcing skates

Can anyone help. I live in the UK & with the recent fall in the £/$ the cost of equipment has gone up again here again (30-40% for most brands). I am visiting NY City in June for 6 days and looking to source a new pr of RBK 9k skates (the white edition)

So firstly can anyone recomend a shop in NYC or would anywhere ship to a hotel if I paid by credit card.

Any help much appreciated.

These guys have cosmetic blems in white; if they have your size it is quite a good deal (assuming of course you don't mind minor aesthetic details). They should be able to ship to a hotel...don't see why not.

Take the train out of Penn Station, (under Madison Square Garden), to the Summit train station in New Jersey.

Give the LHS a call and they can usually pick you up from the train station!

Takes about 35min. each way.

Have you already made your hotel arrangements? I am pretty sure not many LHS's if any at all in the NYC area have the White 9ks in stock let alone the regular black ones if you have an unpopular size. They will most likely have to be ordered. I would suggest you look online for a retailer in the states that will ship them to wherever you are staying. Depending on how nice of a hotel you stay at, the concierge/front desk there should be able to accommodate you. BTW, I just ordered a pair of RBK 9 k seconds from The Hockey Shop myself and still waiting for delivery ;)

But as one poster said they don't have the whites but at least you can go there and look around and maybe get fitted properly. Or give them a call ahead of time.
