Conversion - Heel too Wide?

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of size 5D Supertacks that i've been trying to convert. I also have a size 8D RBK 3K rollers that obviously do not fit. I was comparing the chassis length, and it seems that they are the same length. Looking up on google didn't yield the chassis size for the RBK.

So i took it into my LHS, and they said the heel of my supertacks are too narrow for the roller chassis. Looking at my other ice skates (size 5D Easton S7's), the heel is too narrow on those too.

Which brings the question, would no roller chassis fit on these skates? My options are to look for a chassis that will fit the supertacks, or to look for a boot that will fit the tri-di's off my RBK's. (if I were to buy another boot, i'd probably go with size 5D S7's again)

i ran into the same problem with my easton 1500c's. the chassis just barely fits on the heel of my skate. your best bet is to get a new chassis, your going to need a size small tho, the one you have from your rbk's is more on the line of a med. and you will have a huge wheel base as well. a good chassis is the aluminum mission chassis or the sprungs, they will work great if you are used to ice. if you have any questions pm me, i work at a lhs and mount chassis.
