  1. Thats awesome stuff. I've got a 400D and a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, and i've managed to convince myself to stop there.
  2. f/2.8 constant is one sweet deal. You couldn't have picked an even more expensive hobby though...
  3. My first year in both Ice and Roller, so some pretty basic stuff. Roller: Helmet: NBH 5500 w/ Itech HS22 Aviator Clear visor Girdle: Valken V-Elite Pants: Tour 10W30 Elite Skates: Easton S7 w/ Mission Hi-Lo Chassis, Labeda Grippers, Mission Titanium Bearings, Superfeet Stick: NBH One70 - P92 Naslund Ice: Helmet: NBH 8500 w/ 9500 Cage Shoulders: Itech 255TL Elbows: RBK 4K Fitlite Gloves: RBK 6K Pants: Easton Synergy 300 Shins: RBK 4K Fitlite Skates: Easton S9 w/ Superfeet Stick: Mission Titanium - Hossa Spare stick: NBH Vapor XII - P92 Naslund I share the gloves, shins and elbows between Ice and Roller. I'm a student, so it saves money that way.
  4. The S12 definately looks way better than the S9. The S9 looks like the old Easton Ultralite skates...
  5. Sent my S7's to Easton for warranty, got these back two days later. Not a fan of the looks/longer white tongue. Boot is a lot stiffer though.
  6. What do you know... I lost a huge chunk of one of the Kuzaks last night, guess it's time to put on the other two rink rats I have. I almost bought those exact wheels too... Good thing i went with a set of labeda grippers!
  7. I'll probably swing by a Brafasco (for the ontario bunch) to see if they have any at reasonable prices.
  8. Checked the Home Depots around here. They only carry much larger sizes.
  9. Canon Rebel XTi w/ a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. Can you not order them from McMaster's website? Do they not ship to Canada? McMaster-Carr No idea. Taking a look now, but I don't really need packs of 100 and 50... Anyone have some extras they want to sell?
  10. Thanks, If i could get a hold of some t-nuts and bolts (no idea from where), I'll probably remount them a bit further back myself. The LHS's around here do some shotty work.
  11. I thought the same thing too, but the difference is minimal, and the heel of the boot is a war zone with holes already. If only I could get my hands on some T-nuts, then I would have done the mount properly myself!
  12. Finally got them fixed up. Crappy Junior chassis though. Crappy wheels for now too. :( BTW - if anyone is interested, I have a pair of Small Vanguards for sale in the FS forum.
  13. nope. Wheelbase is just too big. Getting a junior frame put on it this week.
  14. sorry for the crappy picture, but my DSLR is at my other home. Question: Does the chassis look way too big? It felt like the wheelbase was way too much at the toe. Stupid LHS mounted it anyway, when I told them to call me before they did it. Also, Mission says their size S vanguard should fit a size 5 Easton skate, but judging by my skates, its not a very good estimate. Now I have to hunt down a junior large chassis Blast my tiny feet. edit: those are 72/-/76/76 wheels. I'm not even using the 76/80 setup for the vanguard in that picture.
