Lets not forget Toews, Reinprecht, Statsny, Gilbert, Rafalski or Okposo, Martin and Ballard etc.

And how could I forget Heatley. As I said, "off the top of my head..." :P

did anyone go to the Hill Murray vs White Bear Lake section final, it was amazing. I thought last years was the best game i would ever see, but my god this years final was the best high school game i have ever witnessed, the atmosphere was amazing and the coliseum was packed.

Boy did Moorhead look great last night. They brought it hard to Edina and Edina just seemed to wear down. I can't believe that's it for Everson and Lee. I was looking forward to watching them this weekend. I have to say, I think the better team won last night. Moorhead looked surprisingly good.

And poor Duluth East. They just absolutely shelled Cretin. They must have been up 3 to 1 on shots by the end of the game and the time of possession was even more lopsided, I'd bet. Yet somehow Cretin pulled it out playing a game so boring that it makes the Wild or the old Devils look like Disney on Ice. Ugh. I feel terrible for the Greyhounds they are and were the vastly better team but came up short on the scoreboard.

What a treasure this tournament is. The class and efforts of the kids just shine so brightly, and the fans are so wonderful. A grand showcase of hockey and amateur sports as it ought to be. There will always be controversies about private schools and open enrollment, but at the end of the day, the hockey and the sportsmanship leaves that a distant and insignificant concern.

Maybe Duluth East needs to take better quality shots. Sort of like the Gophers, tons of shots, but right at the goalie. It is as if they've never learned to go stick side instead of glove side.

I didn't see many poor shots from East. Cretin's goaltender was brilliant and East was downright unlucky. Cretin's coach even conceeded that they got outplayed but won where it matters, on the board.

Little Falls looks to be in trouble now, too. Who would have imagined we'd go to Saturday without Edina, Duluth East, Hill-Murray and Little Falls. Game is not over, though. I hope we get to see Hanowski in a game that matters tomorrow.
