s4gobabygo 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 i have a rather large empty basement with tall ceilings that i use for practicing stickhandling and shooting, or small 1-on-1 pickup games with friends. the house is pretty old, and the previous owner had painted the basement floor (who knows how long ago... probably in the 70's). the painted concrete is actually a near perfect surface for roller, but it's starting to chip away since it's so old. is there any paint in particular that people have used for roller surfaces? interpathway 9 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 As long as it is intended for use on cement, I think you'll be just fine.
Darkbyte 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 Some paints suck, and some are pretty nice. One of our rinks has a nice painted floor and its quite nice to skate on, the other has a kind of rubbery paint and it sucks. Waay too slippery.Maybe call a few roller rinks and see if they can tell you what they use (if you can find one with painted concrete).
