Protection is GREAT. I'm talking ammmazing. Ventilation is also GOOD. I can't comment on weight because I have yet to find ANY piece of EQUIPTMENT to be HEAVY. The fit is great as it is a tool free adjustable. Fits my huge noggin. It also has a neck "pump" if you will, which you can "pump" up and tighten to the back of your neck. It's not a gimmick, really gives you a snugger fit.

My favorite helmet on the market now.

If your looking for ventalation and fit, you should definatly look into the Bauer 8000. And if looks dont bother you(even though I think the 8000 looks great) thats even better.

The Quest helmet has two drawbacks, the lining is liable to become dettached around the temples, Ive had a few returns with this problem and the material they use for the helmet itself is quite soft, its flexy like the material used on a kids type of helmet. As for the tools free adjustment, come on now, how many of you guys need to adjust the size of your helmet after buying it?

Huwhat??

By lining around the temple, are you referring to the soft pad that goes right above the eyebrows? This padding doesnt look like its gonna move anywhere anytime soon and I skate with this helmet 8-10 hours a week. The material itself is SOFT? Ill admit, its got a little give, but the outside of the helmet shouldnt really make a difference because its whats inside that saves you from injury. Tool-Free adjustment is GREAT when sizing up the helmet. Saves you the time and work to loosen the screws on a helmet that isnt tool free.

I like your suggestive selling skills. :) Tool free adjustment is nice when you first buy the helmet but its not like your head undergoes rapid change in a night so tool free adjustment isnt that big of a deal. The quest is above average but nothing special but right now my LHS is selling it cheaper then the Bauer 4000. Its a great deal for someone looking to try that kind of liner.

I know what you mean, but I'm talkin the first fitting is simpler because you just pop the little side adjustments out, pull and pop em back. Instead of screwing, fitting, then rescrewing. Saves a TINY bit of time and effort.
