Laptop Troubles

I'll be playing an online game, (one of the kind that takes up the whole screen if that matters) and after awhile my laptop will just completely shut down on me. I've noticed that when this happens the bottom of it is EXTREMELY hot, almost to the point where it burns my legs if its in my lap. Is there any way I could fix this so it doesn't constantly shut down on me?

Do you have anything else opened besides the game? I find that my PC usually messes up if I work it to hard, Like I'll be playing 2004, have MSN and Kazaa open. It overworks and the internet shuts off. You should get it looked at to be on the safe side.

Your CPU cant take it. What system are you running? You might not be able to handle the gameply. Check to make sure your fan is working, because that can cause overheating. Also, do not put it on soemthing that will block the fan, such as a blanket or a pillow

If the entire system goes completly off it's your cpu. Does it stop and repeat a small sound over and over before it shuts down? Whatever is going on it's overheating like said before.
